Google Maps Update mit Gebäudekarten

Google Maps erweitert sich auf Indoor. Wer schon immer mal wissen wollte, wo die nächste Toilette in Flughäfen ist oder wie einige IKEA Läden von innen aussehen, sollte sich nun das neue Update für Google Maps 6.0 für das eigene Smartphone besorgen. Dies gilt aber vorerst nur für Android Nutzer. Apples iOS ist bis jetzt leider ausgeschlossen.

Da Google nicht von jedem öffentlichen Gebäude die Karten erstellen kann, gibt es ein Self-Serv-Tool mit dem zum Beispiel Besitzer eines Einkaufszentrums die Pläne und Blaupausen ihres Gebäudes hochladen können.

Hier schon mal eine erste Liste von Gebäuden, welche Google Maps Indoors unterstützen. Weitere Gebäude sollen folgen.
