Laut The Hacker News will der Hacker Yama Tough den gesamten Quellcode von Norton Antivirus veröffentlichen. Dieses würde potentiellen Angreifern theoretisch nicht nur Einblicke in das innere der Software liefern, sondern auch Informationen bieten wie das Programm umgangen werden kann.
Der Quellcode soll übrigens 1,7 Gigabyte groß sein. Um weiter zu untermauern, dass es nicht nur eine leere Aussage ist, hat Yama Tough bereits letzte Woche Teile des Codes veröffentlicht. Die Aussage von Symantec hierzu lautet:
